Munich International Airport is about a 1.5 hour drive from Tegernsee, roughly 90 km away. Use the S1 or S8 into Munich Hauptbahnhof, then continue by regional train or bus.
From the north, use the A8 Munich-Salzburg to Holzkirchen, then continue via the B318 or B307. From the south, come via the Inn valley, Achen pass, or the A8 with the Irschenberg exit.
Map and transfer notes
Once you are in Munich or Tegernsee, the last stretch is easiest when you stay flexible. Regional buses and local taxis cover the valley well, and that is often faster than over-planning every connection.
